How To Outsource Backlinks

Jul 17

In my previous article about outsourcing backlinks, I recommended oDesk, which allows you to outsource a variety of different tasks. You simply post an advert with a description of what you want doing and how much your budget is. Usually within a few hours you will have a handful of applications for the job you are outsourcing.

Since posting the original outsourcing backlinks article, I have had several PM’s, emails and comments asking me to give the names of the users I outsourced my backlinks to, or an example of the advert I had posted. Now, Im not going to give out the names of the users I outsourced to – I’m keeping them for me, but I will give an example of how to advertise on oDesk for backlinks.

—————-START OF ADVERT—————-

Title: 120 Profiles with backlinks from Angelas Packets.

Descriptions:

I need 120 profiles creating on websites from Angelas or Pauls Packets. You MUST already have the backlink packets.

You will need to create an email address (either Yahoo, Gmail or Hotmail) and to create all the profiles with. I will supply you with a username and 2 links to put in each profile.

You will need to supply me a spreadsheet with the URL of the backlinks and the username and password of the profile.

All the backlinks must be created within 48 hours of the job being accepted. All backlinks must be created by hand, no automated software.

—————-END OF ADVERT—————-

Thats it, simple and to the point. Remember that a lot of the people applying the job wont speak fluent English so try and keep it as easy to understand as possible. Obviously you can specify other things such as only to use page rank 7 sites, or only use sites from packets from 2009 – just remember to keep it as easy to understand as possible.

My other piece of advice would be that when you give the job to someone DO NOT close the job. There are some people on oDesk that will mess you around and not bother working – just cancel the job (you dont pay them), and select someone else. If you close the job you have to mess around creating a new advert and waiting for more users to apply for it.

So now you know how to outsource backlinks, head over to oDesk and started!

Hi! I know this post is pretty old but I wanted to know how do you know your outsourcer does have the packets and do you ask him/her to create backlinks from packets of the current month or it doesn’t matter? I was just thinking isn’t it easier to just give them the packet you receive from Angela or Paul so that you know exactly which websites they’ll create backlinks on?

I guess I’m just afraid they might create backlinks from old Angela or Paul’s packets that are already a bit saturated.

I’d highly appreciate your input on that as I’m planning on outsourcing this soon.

    Thank you!

I just ask for xxx backlinks, ie 200, 300 etc. I dont care which month they come from as long as the links work. Some of the older packets have sites which people arent using any more that you can still add links to. If anything, I would say I prefer the older packets as if they havent changed the sites yet to block you adding the link, the chances are they arent going to delete your link.

The new packets will get a hammering for a month then die off when the next packet is released. In this first couple of months the webmaster will notice the increase in members etc, probably delete all the new accounts and then change the site so you cant put your link in.

That totally makes sense! thx! :)

Good, pleased it helped. One thing I will say though is that profile links (ie Angelas & Pauls links) do not seem to carry the same weight they used to. They still work and I still get good results using them, but not as good as a year or so ago.

    Yes I can imagine that.

I just have another question for you if you don’t mind, I’ve browsed some contractors’ profiles on Odesk and it seems to me that when Angela backlinks are created, the contractors never write a post on a forum and then wait 7 days before adding the signature as Angela suggests. Is their a reason for this?

Thanks, just subscribed to your feed btw. :)

If you ask them to do this they will, however it will obviously cost you more. If you want them to post a decent, relevent post then the chances are that you will have to pay alot more!

Is it a bad thing that they dont do what Angelas suggests? Not really. As I said, I prefer older sites anyway where the links do not really get deleted that often. If I was running a site I and had 200 new signups in one day, 100 of which posted a spammy comment on the forum, the others didnt post anything. I would probably delete the 100 spam comments and their accounts and possibly forget about the other 100 accounts. If you are posting a comment it needs to be good quality and relevent – which usually means hiring someone from an English speaking country, which also means you are paying a lot more.

I’ve done these type of links myself and I know I can get a packet of 30 done in around 2 hours. So for 120 links you can say 8 hours, personally I would charge around £200 for that if someone was paying me to do it. I dont know anyone in the UK that would do it for less than £40 (£5 per hour). Im currently outsourcing 120 links for $4.30 (£2.60), so as long as 5% of them stick Its still cheaper than getting someone in the UK to do them.

One thing to take in mind with these type of things is that Angela will be telling everyone how to use the packet and other service providers tell you to use their service in a particular way. This means nearly everyone using the service is doing the same. Think outside the box, how can you make it work for you, what can you do different in order to give your site an extra bump above everybody elses. Dont just do what your told, afterall SEO is marketing and marketing is about creativity!
