After a week or so of not being in the SERP’s again, my Gold locket site is back again, at number 1 this time! How long it will stay there for I dont know, but each time it has come back it has been higher than the previous. Hopefully within the next month it will stabalise at the number 1 position and generate a few sales over Christmas.
I’ve not done any more link building or added any more products to the site since the last update, which makes me think it may have been the blog comments which generated 2,000 links to the site in a couple of minutes. The number of links has now dropped to around 600.

Great news, Shane! Just did a search for your product at my end and you’re at #1 for me too. I hope the rank stays for you but if my recent experiences are anything to go by, I’d say keep working on link building and content and work your arse off to keep this site at #1 for christmas – I reckon it’ll be a little goldmine over the holiday period. Nice one, bud.
Now, this may be coincidence but my bar stools site is also now ranking very positively across all keywords. Between #5 – #7 for ‘bar stools uk’ and a whole host of other keywords have jumped about 100 places (or maybe more accurately been ‘allowed’ back into the index). You’ve read my blog though, you know the score, I’m not yet holding out hope the rank will stick because it’s only jumped to page 1 today but as always, I’ll cross my fingers and toes and hope that all my hard work is paying off.
I usually get about 48 hours of page 1 rankings out of the site before it slips away again so I’ll have an update in a couple of days.
The good news though, is that atleast its ranking on page 1 over a bank holiday which means there’s a good chance more people will be at home surfing… fingers crossed for us both!
Google Giveth …. Google Taketh
All praise the G-Man.
What are these ‘blog comments which generated 2,000 links to the site’ you mention?
